Development of innovation projects in bioeconomy

This extracurricular activity, focused on entrepreneurship and innovation in the bioeconomy, is designed for students of the School of Environmental and Natural Sciences. Its aim is to promote project-based learning through the development of innovative proposals related to the sustainable use of biological resources, the circular economy, agri-food sustainability, and/or the valorization of byproducts.

Students will work in multidisciplinary teams to identify challenges, design solutions, and develop projects with a technical, environmental, and business focus, fostering transversal skills related to innovation, collaborative work, and knowledge transfer.

Students, organized into work teams, will be required to identify a problem or need within the agri-food or environmental sector and develop an innovation proposal based on scientific and technical principles. The project must include:
* Identification and justification of the proposed challenge.
* Basic review of the technical and sustainability context.
* Description of the proposed solution.
* Preliminary analysis of technical feasibility and potential environmental or socioeconomic impact.
* Definition of the application or transfer model for the proposal.
* Preparation of a summary report and oral presentation of the project.
Objetivos:
Favorecer la participación del estudiantado en actividades de innovación y emprendimiento relacionadas con la bioeconomía.
Promover el aprendizaje basado en proyectos aplicados a retos reales del ámbito agroalimentario y ambiental.
Desarrollar competencias en diseño, planificación y gestión de proyectos innovadores.
Impulsar la generación de soluciones sostenibles orientadas a la valorización de recursos biológicos y subproductos.
