THE UPV DULZAINA AND PERCUSSION GROUP was founded thanks to UPV's commitment to traditional Valencian culture and music and the collaboration with the Escola de Música Tradicional de la Ciutat de València (ESMUTRAD), in order to offer the education of a top-flight artistic and educational project comparable to that of the same university institution and that is representative and innovative in the scope of traditional Valencian music, and specifically in the scope of the dulzaina and percussion groups.
-To promote and disseminate traditional Valencian culture and music, and specifically everything related to this instrumental education.
-To promote the study of traditional Valencian culture and music, as well as its most popular instruments: the dulzaina and ¿tabal¿.
-To provide the members of the university community who play the dulzaina and/or percussion with a meeting place where they can engage in an artistic, educational and recreational activity.
-To promote the transmission of values of respect, tolerance, co-existence in diversity as a source of wealth, solidarity, personal effort, collaboration between colleagues, recognizing other's work, and working in a team with the individual responsibility to the group that one forms part of.
-To promote the development of what has been learned and the significant lessons through participation in group projects of a broader nature.
