MaxLinear is searching for a Software Development Engineer to join our Valencia design center. For this role, we are open to new grads or candidates with experience. The candidate will be integrated in a dynamic cross functional team to develop cutting-edge communication systems. Functions Development of real-time firmware for embedded systems. Specification and implementation of drivers, algorithms and protocols to be integrated in our communications systems, such as G.hn, MOCA, Docsis and WiFi. Master degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.0-6 years of industry experience in embedded software developmentRequired Skills. Strong computer programming skills. Good knowledge of C programming and network protocols. Good knowledge of software architecture and software development methodology and tools. Knowledge of low level programming (OS core and drivers). Experience with the GNU toolset chain. Knowledge of script programming (Python, Perl or bash). Knowledge of embedded CPU architectures Experience with RTOS (uC/OS, ThreadX, Lynx, RTEMS or others). Good knowledge of IP networks and communication protocols. Knowledge of Linux systems at administration level Strong desire to learn and develop deep skillset in embedded software development for networking product.
