The MaaSAI System aims to transform manufacturing by automating interactions between providers and consumers in a Manufacturing-as-a-Service (MaaS) ecosystem. It enables agile, transparent, and sustainable production through decentralised capacities, reducing traditional investment barriers. Leveraging Explainable AI (xAI), MaaSAI facilitates dynamic negotiation of manufacturing capacities, supported by secure, real-time data exchange. The system fosters circular manufacturing, resource optimisation, and value chain integration, empowering SMEs with on-demand production. Key outcomes include the MaaSAI Cloud MaaS Marketplace, Provider Suite, and Digital Twin, demonstrated in five European sector pilots: metal machining, gears, biomaterials, food processing, and electronics manufacturing, showcasing a paradigm shift in industry.
