A novel sound absorber with recycled fibers coming from end life tires (ELTs)

Abstract

The use of materials waste, coming from fibers of Fluff, in the manufacture of sound absorber products, can help to combat two different kind of problems, the disposal of this kind of waste and the noise control. After thermal compresion we can get a product with a higer added value and lower cost. Results of absorption coeficient and acoustic impedance have beeb obtained. We have also make mesures in combined products of fluff and ground tire rubber.
