Abstract
This paper evaluates the impact of the new model of agricultural policy that is outlined in the legislative proposals issued by the European Commission in October 2011, estimating its effects on agricultural aids in Spanish Autonomous Communities with respect to the situation in 2009. To this end, the OECD agricultural policy index system was used. To the extent that transversal criteria are applied which support aid transfer between territories, the results suggest that the change in the payment assignation model would involve a redistribution of aid towards the areas which currently least benefit from them.
