Abstract
This platform for dental implant planning has
been assessed as a software tool of medical images in order to
support the decision of the implantologist. The approach allows
to build a 3D model of the patient s tooth structure from
Computed Tomography (CT) images (e.g jaw, teeth and dental
nerve), as well as an assessment of their bone density.
Moreover, this platform intends to evaluate the implant
placement and, in addition, to design an stereolitography (STL)
model for the further creation of splints which provide a better
implant location and placement in the mouth.
