Security assurance en Smart Grid

Abstract

The implementation of the smart grid from previous energy networks is a great improvement in efficiency and reliability, but as critical infrastructure it implies very high security requirements. A safety system such as this needs to be monitored its security assurance (SA) in real time, in order to avoid proactively and detect reactively any attack. The design of the system architecture adapts to the network topology and is divided into two parts, one for continuous data collection and another for processing and visualization. In these systems interoperability plays a fundamental role for extension and integration approaches, and therefore the paper proposes the use of standards for data collection (SWE, Sensoe Web Enablement) and for the network elements assessment (SCAP, Secutiry Content Automation Protocol). The proposed system has been evaluated in the research project UniverSEC.
