Abstract
In this paper we study the characterization of completable fuzzy metric spaces (in the sense of George and Veeramani) due to Gregori and Romaguera. We collect some examples of non-completable fuzzy metric spaces for proving that the conditions of the mentioned characterization constitute an independent axiomatic system.
