USING TRAINING COMPUTER EXAMS TO PROVIDE STUDENTS FEEDBACK WHEN PERFORMED UNDER TEACHER SUPERVISION

Abstract

One of the challenges teachers face is to put students to work on an ongoing basis from the very beginning of the semester. Continuous assessment can help to achieve this aim. The method of continuous assessment is widely used in many educational systems through objective tests or multiple choice "quizzes". In this context, Information and Communication Technologies enable the development of assessment tools that can be useful and versatile, with the possibility of being applied to a large number of students. With the use of automatic correction and immediate scoring, as well as instant feedback and adaptive testing, these tools allow for a continuous assessment or training without overloading the teacher. In this paper, one of these tools is presented:performing a PoliformaT test as a classroom practice.
