Abstract

The travel came to form a basic part of the cultural and humanistic education of the bourgeoisie and nobility throughout Europe in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. This communication offers a trail through three examples of writers-draftsmen: Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Hans Christian Andersen and Victor Hugo. Three very different examples, both for its artistic and cultural interests, such as the paper itself the trip played in their training and in their lives. Writers who lived in different times, but they shared, in various capacities and concerns, the passion for travel drawings.
