Abstract

Palladium nanoparticles were deposited on different solids acids of high surface area in order to get bifunctional metal/acid based materials as catalysts to build up dihydropirimidinone derivatives in one-step processes. In this case, Pd(1%)/MCM-41(Si/Al = 15), Pd/H (Si/Al=12.5), Pd(0.5%)/ITQ-2 (Si/Al=12.5), Pd(0.5%)/SAC-13 and Pd(0.5%)/PVS-SiO2) were prepared, characterized and applied as catalysts to form these organic N-heterocycles.
