Degradación de mezcla de contaminantes derivados de la industria corchera mediante aplicación de procesos Fenton y foto-Fenton solar.

Abstract

A cork boiling wastewater representative mixture of 8 contaminants (gallic acid, protecatechuic acid, vanillic acid, sinapic acid, 2,4-dinitrophenol, ellagic acid and tannic acid) was treated by Fenton and foto-Fenton process. The aim of this study is to optimize de variables involved in the photo-Fenton process in order to determinate the best treatment conditions: pH, iron and hydrogen peroxide concentration. For this purpose, a response surface methodology based on Dohelert design with three factors (pH, iron concentration and hydrogen peroxide) and three replicates of the central point has been used. In this case a total of 15 experiments were performed in a 250 mL cylindrical Pyrex vessel irradiated with a ABET sun 2000 solar simulator in the case of photo-Fenton.
