Abstract
The use of new technologies in healthcare has
materialized very useful and innovative systems. The deployment
of these solutions has been improved the quality of the provided
health services. This paper presents an application for patient
real-time monitoring in a ward. The application is able to know
the patient's location in the ward and monitoring, in real time,
his/her bio-signals through a graphical user interface. To collect
data from patients, the proposal uses several body sensors. The
main purpose of this application is helping healthcare
professionals to easily monitor all of their patients using mobile
devices, and thanks to the real-time monitoring using a wireless
network deployed in a hospital, patients can walk and move
freely and being monitored in real time.
