Abstract

The land-use Planning and environment management is a discipline that requires quality map databases to project on solutions adopted by planners. The quality of them depends the right decisions that will enable sustainable growth, rezoning of land, rehabilitation of urban spaces and the successful deployment of equipment and resources. Planners should handle such bases in all work relating to the territory so a thorough knowledge of them as well as the different types of data that compose it is a must for proper decision-making task. Through a collaborative work to develop an urban cartographic base in the city of Benidorm grade students of Architecture, is to familiarize them with the management of this repository. Using the Openstreetmap platform, making a geodatabase is addressed to acquaint the student with the most current mapping techniques in the composition of open spatial data. Understanding the structure of information will allow them to deal with more guarantees projective management work.
