Mechanical characterization of plaster matrix composites reinforced with polymer and ceranic fibers

Abstract

The paper has two main objectives; first one, analyze the mechanical behavior of plaster matrix composites reinforced with fibers of a different nature; ceramic or polymeric and the second one analyze the adhesion of fibers to matrix. The mechanical properties analyzed were flexural strength and compression, The analyzes of fracture was done using SEM technology to observe the adhesion of the fiber to matrix. This paper presents the results obtained with fiberglass AR and aramid fiber.
