Abstract

A smart nanodevice to take advantage of passive targeting of nanoparticles to macrophages and enhance the therapeutic effect of anti-inflammatory drugs was designed. Mesoporous silica nanoparticles capped with ε- poly-L-lysine and loaded with the promising modulator of inflammasome activity VX-765 was synthesized and tested in in vitro models and in vivo models of inflammation.
