THE BROAD DIMENSION OF SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP: CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK AND MEASUREMENT SCALE

Abstract

The main aim of this paper is to establish the concept of social entrepreneurship in its broadest dimension, by validating a measurement scale for it. The broad dimension of SE is a concept which combines the search for profit with objectives of a social nature. The empirical study is focused on a sample of 120 four- and five-star hotels in Spain, which allows us to validate the measurement scale for this extensive social entrepreneurship dimension. The scale meets all sociometric criteria required of measurement scales in the social sciences: dimensionality, reliability, and validity.
