Applied methodology in the structural and pathological analysis of the Infirmary Pavilion for women at the health complex in Fontilles, Alicante, Spain

Abstract

The current poster shows part of the works that are carrying out relating to the research project El Sanatorio de San Francisco de Borja de Fontilles. Modelo de análisis para la recuperación integral de instalaciones sanitarias de valor patrimonial, subsidised by the national program of research, development and innovation for the society challenges (Ref. HAR2013- 42060-R). Among other objectives, the project develops a complete historical, structural and pathology studies of the buildings in the sanatorium centre, organised along the different structural periods. Furthermore, the complex is characterised by its architectural expansion throughout more than 100 years working. It is developed the methodology carried out for the architectural analysis of the architectural complex. The old Infirmary Pavilion for women has been selected to explain the categorization and classification of the technical characteristics and pathologies of the structural units.
