Resumen
GreenDEMO explores the innovative role of public administrations in addressing societal challenges and advancing democratic processes for green sustainability. The project aims to foster 'greener' democracies and democratic transitions toward climate neutrality by enhancing city administrations' transformative capacities through organizational innovation. Demo Cities (Mannheim, Bristol, Aalborg) will prototype and test innovations, while Fellow Cities (Glasgow, Aarhus, Bamberg, Schaerbeek, Poznan) focus on replication and roadmaps. Collaborative local green deals are key to rebuilding trust in public institutions, addressing democratic crises, and ensuring effective, legitimate sustainability efforts, ultimately strengthening democracies and their ability to meet ambitious green goals.
