The Erasmus BIP (Blended Intensive Programmes) are short and intensive programmes, which are part of the Erasmus Program 2021/2027 and that use innovative ways of learning and teaching, including collaborative online work. They aim to reach students from any field of study and study level, and offer an opportunity for international mobility to students who, for whatever reason, cannot afford long-term physical mobility.
Each Erasmus BIP is organized by a consortium of at least 3 universities from 3 different countries. The UPV can be an organizer or a participant. Programs include challenge-based learning where transnational teams of students work together to address challenges, for example related to the UN SDGs or other societal challenges identified by regions, cities, or companies.
With teacher supervision, student groups will work collaboratively as a team, combining a period of online work and a period of face-to-face work in which all students will travel to the country of the organizing University for a mobility of 5-30 days.
Normally, Erasmus BIP programs can be organized as an activity not linked to regulated teaching at the UPV (degree subjects) but they may also form part of regulated teaching as additional credits. When the organizing university is the UPV and the project is thematically linked to an existing degree course, certificates of hours or credits will be issued exclusively to record those components or activities that are additional to the usual learning objectives and workload of said course. course.
Variable activities for each program. As a rule:
-Presentation of students and teachers by workgroup
-Intercultural communication activities
-Participation in online sessions with all participants (introduction and presentation of objectives and deliverables)
-Work in transnational groups in person and virtually to achieve the proposed learning objectives and present deliverables according to the theme of the program
-Presentation of the work/project/solution of each group to teachers and other participants
By regulation of the Erasmus+ program in a BIP, at least 3 ECTS credits must be assigned to each participant who completes the course satisfactorily
